Apparently, Notre Dame has blocked tracking of its plane - something not done after we finally got rid of Kevin White. This was clearly done so it would be a secret as to where Jack Swarbuck was traveling.

Secondly, there are a number of names on our list: Brian Kelly and Jon Gruden are apparently on the top. However, Gruden signed an extended deal which will also have him covering Bowl Games with ESPN.

Also joining that list is Stanford's Jim Harbaugh - who also is in talks for an extension to stay in Palo Alto.

From the Big 10, there's interest in Kirk Ferentz - who I don't want - and Bob Stoops. Apparently, Stoops who should have a home for life in Oklahoma is catching flack for this year and might be up for a new challenge. I'd welcome him to the shadow of the Golden Dome.

Finally, there's always the Urban Meyer rumor. Would he leave UF after a third national championship in four years and his star leaving? Who knows?

Personally, I'm rooting for Brian Kelly. It's a realistic hire - I don't see Stoops or Meyer leaving Norman or Gainesville. And he already has had sustained success at the college level, something Gruden can't say. He's Catholic and likes Notre Dame.

Only time will tell however.
