News Update

Quick news update concerning the Notre Dame Fighting Irish as they prepare to face Navy.

Michael Floyd will return to the field. He has not played since breaking his collar-bone against Michigan State. Floyd is an excellent receiver adding another threat to compliment Golden Tate. Clausen's numbers should also improve as well.

Speaking of quarterbacks, backup Dane Crist is out for the rest of the season following an ACL tear suffered against Washington State in San Antonio this past Saturday. The sophomore will certainly be the starter next year if Clausen elects to pursue the NFL. Evan Sharpley who has been at this school longer than I have will be the primary back-up, with WR Ben Goodman will slot in as the #3 quartback. Both have seen action at the position, Sharpley much more so, but Goodman has taken snaps in the wildcat formation, specifically against USC.
