Colt McCoy

Gameday Preview

This preview brought to you by Tylenol Extra Strength, helping me over hangovers since 2006.

Notre Dame has the hardest match-up so we'll start there, with the other three contenders playing in games that don't really matter as they wait for conference championships. ... Read more

Weekend Review

This Weekend Wrap-up brought to you by Samsung phones. Because even though they fall into toilets twice, after two days, they're as good as new...well nearly...anyway, enough about my Halloween weekend, would our Heisman contenders get tricks or treats this weekend?

To the analysis! ... Read more

Colt "45 and 2 zig zags" McCoy

Another game, another win, another high completion percentage and another interception. Colt McCoy has been the model of consistency this year, doing enough for his team to win, and not making the mistake that makes his team lose. While he isn't getting the kind of attention he was last year, he is still putting up good to great numbers and his team keeps winning.

A lot of the problems with Colt's Heisman hype this year is due to the insane numbers he put up last year and the sky high expectations that were set for this team this year. Yet they still haven't lost, and he still hasn't put up a total stinker on par with Tebow. ... Read more

Weekend Wrapup

We're dropping Pike (injured) and Suh (great performance with 2 blocked kicks, but he needed a lot of momentum to have a shot - back to back losses hurts).

So this week's Weekend Wrap-up is brought to you by Radiohead, the band. I got into a conversation with my friend Tom over which of today's bands from the general rock scene will be remembered thirty years from now. My picks? Radiohead, Coldplay, U2, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and the Foo Fighters. Those are my five. Leaving out U2, which the previous generation could certainly claim, I'd add Beck. Anyway, on to football...

The Heisman Race saw a real running back quickly assert himself as a potential winner. I give you Mark Ingram of Alabama!

So where do Tebow, McCoy, Clausen, and Ingram stand now? ... Read more

Weekend Preview

This is a big weekend for all of our Heisman contenders. (All game times Eastern.)

Tebow looks to continue his run at a 2nd Heisman and 3rd National championship as the Gators go home to welcome the Razorbacks in the Swamp. Look for the Gators to roll and Tebow to put up some good numbers against a soft defense. However, there is a slight chance of an upset (17%). 3:30 on CBS. ... Read more

Colt "the real" McCoy

The forgotten man on the forgotten team. While he's not putting up astronomical numbers, his team keeps winning, and while it might be impressive, they're doing enough. People are starting to clamor for his teammate Jordan Shipley to start getting recognition because he's not only doing it as a receiver but also as a punt returner. But there's no question who the leader of this team is and why Texas is still a strong contender for the national title, Colt McCoy. ... Read more
